Kort om mig
I am a Palestinian writer, poet, journalist, and cultural practitioner from the occupied city of Ashkelon, raised in the Rafah refugee camp in Gaza. I hold a degree in Humanities (History and Civilization) from Al-Azhar University in Cairo and have worked extensively in journalism, publishing, research, and literature.
My literary and journalistic work explores exile, memory, identity, displacement, and the Palestinian experience through poetry, prose, and cultural criticism. My articles and essays have appeared in leading Arab newspapers and cultural platforms.
From 2013 to 2022, I served as Director of Ibn Rushd Publishing House (Cairo-Istanbul), contributing to independent Arab publishing and intellectual dialogue.
I am currently an ICORN Guest Writer in Lund Municipality, Sweden (2024–2026), where I continue my literary and cultural work.
I am a member of:
• PEN International
• PEN Sweden
• The Swedish Writers' Union
• The Palestinian Writers' Union
